Letterkenny Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
I really enjoyed my day in Letterkenny Golf club. Staff very friendly and the food was just fantastic. I would have no problem recommending this course to anyone no matter what handicap. |

Balcarrick Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
It's good to experience a golfing location like Balcarrick that is bucking prevalent recession trends - course presentation and maintenance standards there are first class and at prices you can afford. Enjoyed our game - plenty of variety, lots of wildlife and superb greens. After golf, the club house is just right for the job - nothing too elaborate and mens changing facilities have been upgraded since my last visit. Hardly surprising that the combination of quality golf course, new well stocked pro shop, restaurant with good menu choice - all competitively priced - is attracting lots of visitors. |

Carne Golf Links ( Ireland ) |
Carne is heaven !! It's my favourite course by a mile. Depending on the weather it can be anything from difficult yet fair to virtually impossible. And the scenery is breath taking particularly once you climb onto the 11th tee box. Just stop for a moment and take in that ocean view.
I recommend to anyone visiting Carne that you drop into McDonnells Bar in Belmullet. It must be the friendliest pub in Ireland.
Wish I could get down there more often. |

Murvagh Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
An absolute gem of a course. Darren Clarke rightly rated it as one of his all time favourite links courses, how right he was. It is challenging, wind blows all the time, par 5's are superb and the scenery and views over Donegal Bay are magnificent. For 55 euros you won't find better value for money to play a course of this standard in Ireland.
A must play for any golfers visiting the Donegal area !!!! |

Glen of the Downs Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
Superb parkland which plays much like a links. Always kept very tidy. Greens are fantastic and the clubhouse staff are second to none. Well done Glen of the Downs. |

Mount Juliet Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
Wow , this is an amazing course. The Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is challenging and enjoyable at the same time. The elevated Par 3 , 3rd hole was the highlight of my trip. Its a great course and should be visited. |

Dunmurry Springs Golf Club ( Ireland ) |
The course has far too many blind tee shots in my opinion. Depending on how far you hit it, the 2nd, the 5th, the 8th, the 12th, and the 14th will all leave you having to hope your ball is ok instead of knowing. Having said that, there are some great holes out there, particularly the 3rd, the 6th and the 18th. The drainage is the best I've seen anywhere, the fairways are like links, and the greens are beautiful. Its still maturing, and has onvious potential as a golf course, but Dunmurry Springs remains very much a case of taking the good with the bad design. |
